Reading this morning the Half-Japanese
I am a sap on the wind in the trees
Are acquaintances quaint is my deftness the dirt

A small stoney phaser of words
I lean in again
To the pages

The horror I show is a white Honda fit
Thrown with sick drones I gobble the sun
A rabbit goes home with a nuclear bomb
No one’s ever certain I walk home alone

A weird fence opening up
I’m a signal flare
A little purpose
And burn my high hair higher

And I’m always so tired
I dream of pine sapling eyes or a desert sadly fired
To the street on my feet
I drag my mangled heart’s wires
It’s time to go awry

Doubling up on the robins and dust
I take out the trash and I rough myself up
Nobody’s home when the dog’s eating grass
Homeostatic and forsworn at last
